Free PPP Settings





  1. Open FreePPP Setup


    2. (If you do not see the above window, click on the little triangle in the lower left hand corner.)

  2. Click on the General tab.


  3. The following three options should be checked: Allow applications to open connection, Disconnect if idle for 30mins and Check line every 20 seconds.

  4. Click on Modem Setup...


  5. Where it says Connected to: to the right it should say Modem Port.


  6. Next to Dial type: if you have touch tone dialing on your phone line it should be set for Tone dial. If you have pulse dial it should be set for Pulse.


  7. There should be a checkmark for Modem speaker on while connecting and also for Hangup on disconnect.


  8. Just under Modem Init String Settings it should be set for Use:. In the box next to that should be the proper init string for your modem. ( If your not sure what to use, AT&F will work in most cases.)


  9. Click OK.


  10. Click Accounts.


  11. highlight enter.net and click Edit...


  12. Server name: should read enter.net


  13. Phone number: should contain your local access number.

  14. The Connect: field should have Directly selected.


  15. In User name: and Password: field, your username and password should be there.


  16. Click OK
